Hailing from Charleston, South Carolina, Lorie Bryant has a fervent passion for the Southern things in life. Lorie is a creative arts enthusiast, natural storyteller, conversationalist, avid outdoor explorer, and indoor gardener. Within her twelve years as a Memphian, Lorie has cultivated relationships with like-minded dreamers and purveyors of creating positive change, safe spaces, and equity for marginalized people.
With her background in Computer Engineering, Lorie is no stranger to bringing projects to life and bringing the best out of those around her. As a member, fellow, and organizer, Lorie has served and worked extensively with SONG on campaigns and strategic projects geared towards dismantling oppressive structures and rallying for Queer liberation across all lines of race, class, culture, abilities, age, gender, and sexuality.
Community-building, Honesty, and Integrity are core values that Lorie infuses into all of her endeavors inside and outside of the workplace. Lorie is especially committed to pouring back into Black communities to ensure that they have adequate resources to create and thrive within the communities of their dreams.
