SONG Cunty Country Fair Regional Membership Call

Hot Queer Summer is coming to an end and as mornings get chillier and pumpkins scents fill the air, we invite you to join us on Monday, September 27th, 6-8pm ET/5-7pm CT for our SONG Regional Membership Call: Cunty Country Fair. Cum one, cum all!
The SONG Cuntry fair is in town for all SONG members, longtime and new. This call will be a time to connect with SONG’s rowdy, queer Southern members and our Forever SONG fam. As a region we will take time to skill up together, and dig into our political histories to shape our future. We’ll be mapping our political landscape with the lens of where we are in the South. During the call we will have various “carnival rides”(breakout groups) where we will dig into some different topics such as: our campaign assessment, conflict transformation, and base building. Hope to see you at the Cunty Country fair!
Comrades and kindred please join us this today, Saturday 3/27 from 5pmCT/ 6pmEST until 8pmCT/ 9pm EST as we gather to celebrate the life of Murph “The Detonator”. On March 22, 2020, we lost a loved member leader and organizing fellow, Alexis “Murph” Murphy from SONG Birmingham. Since 2012, Murph has been a committed member leader with a passion for transforming Alabama and the South. It’s been one year since our beloved transitioned but their spirit lives on in our hearts and in their work. We’ve faced many challenges in the last year, but coming together as a SONG family is what keeps us connected. Today we’ll engage in a digital community altar build, hear about the legacy of work Murph left us that has continued on, listen to loving reflections on the life and times of our comrade, and watch Murph’s favorite horror movie, Candyman together. This invitation is also open to non-SONG members who also love Murph.
