Britney is a proud Black, queer, woman from Charleston,SC. Over the last few years, Britney has been following her passion of resourcing and uplifting grassroots movement work as a facilitator, trainer and organizer and found SONG along her journey in 2016 at their annual Out South Convening. She has served as Program Manager of the Southern Equality Fund, the Campaign for Southern Equality’s grantmaking initiative for the years 2016-2019. During 2018, she administered over 125 grants totaling over $75K to grassroots LGBTQ organizers across the South.Based in Durham, NC, Britney is excited to continue her work as a resource mobilizer in her role as Development Coordinator for Southerners on New Ground.
When she’s not dreaming and scheming about how to move resources to our people, she enjoys weight training, anything outdoors, dancing like no-one’s watching and zoning out to a good podcast.
