They’re a group of New Orleans-based community folk—including many SONG members—who came together in 2020 to prepare for hurricane season when the pandemic was still new and police repression was soaring in response to the Uprising during the summer of 2020. \n\n\n\nEvery year\, Pink Slipper revises a collectively created emergency preparedness resource workbook called\, “PINK SLIPPER: Protecting Each Other Through Hurricanes & Other Calamities.” Pink Slipper’s work is here to support building out plans with their loved ones and community in response to all kinds of crises\, from hurricanes and fires to martial law.

DESCRIPTION:Hot Queer Summer is coming to an end and as mornings get chillier and pumpkins scents fill the air\, we invite you to join us on Monday\, September 27th\, 6-8pm ET/5-7pm CT for our  SONG Regional Membership Call: Cunty Country Fair. Cum one\, cum all! \nThe SONG Cuntry fair is in town for all SONG members\, longtime and new. This call will be a time to connect with SONG’s rowdy\, queer Southern members and our Forever SONG fam. As a region we will take time to skill up together\, and dig into our political histories to shape our future. We’ll be mapping our political landscape with the lens of where we are in the South. During the call we will have various “carnival rides”(breakout groups) where we will dig into some different topics such as: our campaign assessment\, conflict transformation\, and base building.
