DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday\, July 15th at 6:30 pm Central/ 7:30 pm Eastern for Weather or Not: Disaster Preparedness Call With Pink Slipper \n\n\n\nContinuing SONG’s organizing to prepare for hurricane season\, we invite all SONG members to a call with Pink Slipper on individual and communal disaster preparation strategies. \n\n\n\nWho is Pink Slipper? They’re a group of New Orleans-based community folk—including many SONG members—who came together in 2020 to prepare for hurricane season when the pandemic was still new and police repression was soaring in response to the Uprising during the summer of 2020. \n\n\n\nEvery year\, Pink Slipper revises a collectively created emergency preparedness resource workbook called\, “PINK SLIPPER: Protecting Each Other Through Hurricanes & Other Calamities.” Pink Slipper’s work is here to support building out plans with their loved ones and community in response to all kinds of crises\, from hurricanes and fires to martial law.
