Hemos enfrentado retos en todos los frentes. Nuestrxs enemigxs han buscado quitarnos nuestra alegría, nuestras victorias, espiritu y humanidad. Pero somos lxs hijxs de quiénes no murieron. Somos gente del sur guiadxs por nuestra determinación y la añoranza de triunfar y de florecer. Tal vez este momento es nuevo para nosotrxs, pero somos parte de todo un legado de lucha y de resistencia. Nuestrxs ancestrxs elegidxs siguen abriendo y definiendo nuestro camino. We have been tried on all fronts. Our enemies have tried to take our joy, wins, spirit and humanity. But we are the children of the ones who did not die. We are Southern people led by our determination and longing to win and thrive. This particular moment may be new to us but we are a part of a legacy of struggle and resistance. Our chosen ancestors continue to carve out our steps and direct our paths. We will win because their collective knowledge, resilience and fire is within us all.
